MULTIDIRECTIONAL MOVEMENT SKILLS
This course focuses on the ability to quickly stop and change the direction of movement as a key aspect in many athletic arenas. In the course, we will examine the processes in which this is approached, trained and optimized.Theory portions will include:

- Biomechanical and neuromuscular responses and adaptations
- Strengthening and developing supporting muscular structure for optimal performance
- How to address and treat common injuries associated with changing direction
- Coaching theory and application
- Progressions and programming
Practical portions will include:

- Movement preparation and warmup for multidirectional training days
- Proper movement patterning and positioning
- Individualization of progressions and regressions
- Application of drills and testing in a team/individual setting, with sports specific examples
